The scholarship is for one year with an extension to the second year of study, as appropriate, which shall be conditional on the scholar maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as determined by the institute. Burma: Applications for Chevening Scholarships open 3 August

11 August 2015 The Chevening Secretariat is accepting applications for 2016/2017 via www.chevening.org/apply from 3 August until 3 November 2015. Chevening uncondionally selected candidates for 2015-2016 from Burma Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with strong academic backgrounds who also have demonstrable leadership potential. The scholarship offers financial support to study for a Master’s degree at any of the UK’s leading universities and the opportunity to become part of an influential global network of 44,000 alumni. The call for new applicants follows the selection of at least ten scholars from Burma, who won an award to study at a UK university this year. There are approximately 1,500 Chevening Scholarships on offer globally for the 2016/2017 academic cycle. Deadline: 1 May 2015 There is one Prospect Burma - Hla Pe Memorial Scholarship for applicants who are proposing to register full-time for taught Masters programmes at SOAS in the academic session 2015/16.
