Filipino singer Charice to perform in Yangon

Filipino singer Charice is slated to perform at the Fashion & Music Festival in Yangon next month.

Filipino pop star Charice will perform at the Fashion & Music Festival at the MCC on August 28, according to Living Sound Entertainment. The singer will be joined on stage by American R&B artist Sammie and Japanese actresses and models.

“This concert has been in the works for a long time due to the hassle involving booking the venue. But we’ve finally got hold of the venue. Even if we face more difficulties with the venue, we’ll still be holding the concert on the day. The concert features American singer Sammie, Filipino singer Charice, Japanese actresses and models. We have also invited some Chinese artists. The concert will be held as a fashion and music festival.

“There will be fashion shows and performances. Japanese actresses from the film ‘Yangon Runway’ and Filipino stars from Filipino TV soaps currently airing on Sky Net channel will perform at the concert,” said Jaw Maran from Living Sound Entertainment.

Tickets cost Ks 30,000 (US$27), Ks 60,000 (US$54) and Ks 100,000 ($90).

Ancient Rakhine City of Mrauk-U Proposed for UNESCO World Heritage Site
