Re: "Yingluck, Abhisit discuss Bangkok risk", October 12
In the midst of any crisis, there will always be one illuminating incident that gives us hope. Your photo of PM Yingluck Shinawatra conferring with opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva is worth a thousand words. These two young leaders know when to stop bickering and get on with life. Abhisit initiated the visit to the government crisis centre and Yingluck invited him to the "war room" to brief him on the dilemmas. (If she were the older leader, she would have left Abhisit in the reception area). Forget about all these reconciliation committees and task forces, the personal touch, for which Thailand is famous, should come into vogue in politics rather than trumping each other with one-upmanship.
