Nakhon Sawan asks for drinking water

According to TV news report, Nakhon Sawan city is severely lacking drinking water and the municipality official requests TV3 station to broadcast urgent help.


Muncipality official remarked that this year's flood was very severe and it could take two months for the water to recede.

Right now, the municipality and the army region 3 are trying to repair the flood dyke to rescue the submerged Asia Highway to open for traffic again so that help can be easily distributed to the residents.

Oldest industrial estate battles on

Nava Nakorn Industrial Estate in Pathum Thani established in 1971 is now bracing for invading floods. All industrial estates in Ayutthaya are now under.

It is estimated that there are up to 100,000 people working in the oldest industrial estate. The workers now stop work and organising work shifts to fill up sand bags to strengthen flood wall and dyke surrounding the estate.

Streams of trucks carrying sand from as far as Chon Buri are now dumping sand in the estate for workers to fill up bags.

The first industrial estate in Ayutthaya to be submerged is Saha Ratana, followed by Rojana, Hi-Tech and today Bang Pa-In.

Heavy rain in Bangkok snarls traffic

Heavy rain in Bangkok this evening snarls traffic on many roads.

The water level on Ratchadapisek Road in front of Criminal Court was deep, making it difficult for small cars to navigate.

However, water level in  canals in Bangkok is still normal.
