Deputy Prime Minister Kittiratt Na-ranong has asked the army to send a Chinook heavy-lift helicopter to lift cargo containers and place them to block the breaches in the floodwall around Hi-Tech industrial estate in Ayutthaya province, reports said.
Mr Kittiratt made the request in a call on a direct line to army chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, in a bid to stop water flowing into the industrial estate.
The deputy prime minister also said he planned to bring in 10 more water pumps.
The atmosphere at the industrial estate was tense as company management executives demanded Mr Kittiratt save their factories from flooding.
