A 17-year-old boy was repeatedly hit with a metal bar and a chair leg before being stripped naked in an attack in Greater Manchester.
Police said the teenager was the victim of a "cruel and vicious" assault on the Abraham Moss playing fields in Crumpsall. He was hit several times and knocked unconscious, before waking up naked. The gang had robbed him of £11.
The victim was treated in hospital for a fractured skull.

Det Con Robert Ashurst, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "This was a terrifying experience for the victim, who is really young.
"He has been subjected to a cruel and vicious attack for the sake of just £11, but I'd like to stress that incidents like this are thankfully rare."
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at about 1700 BST on Tuesday.
"There must have been a few people about on the playing fields at that time and who saw some or all of the attack," Det Con Ashurst said.
"I'm appealing for anyone who knows who was responsible to contact us."
One of the attackers was an Asian man who was wearing a red bandana, police said.
